I've been wanting to write a blog for some time now but have always put it off or found a reason why it wasn't a good idea. But today i'm taking the plunge and going for it. It may take me some time to develop my blog writing voice but i'm happy and willing to give it a go.
Music and dancing...
Sometimes I get caught up in my own head and forget to let other people influence me. So in order to combat that I've decided to share a piece of music everyday that I have been inspired by or I have danced to or simply that I have taken the time to listen to. Yesterday's offering is Pink's "Raise Your Glass" - I had a lot of fun dancing around my living room to this!
In the afternoon I went to the beach, it was a beautiful sunny day but sadly having such pale skin means I am more often found under the shade than lying in the sun shine. But I was still able to enjoy the beautiful view and calming atmosphere.

I was delighted to able to catch up with my good friend who sadly lives thousands of miles away but it got me thinking - why is it that we can always give other people such amazing support and encouragement and excellent advice but fail to apply it to ourselves? I'm trying hard to stop torturing myself with past conversations that run through my head and rob me of my happy thoughts and confidence. I am trying to find my inner peace and feel at ease with myself and be more confident at voicing my thoughts and opinions. Being the youngest in the family I think I was always concerned with respecting my elders but now I need to find my voice and start having a more positive impact on the world around me.
I recently read this article and loved it so much I wanted to share it.

As a result of reading this I am now using this moto - "I can. I will. I am."

I can create opportunities for myself. I will make more friends and spend more time surrounded by people that inspire me. I am a positive person with a lot to offer this world.
Until next time...x
